Sustainable is understated

The core responsibility of any business is to be sustainable. And we see less and less examples of this, especially with the rise of the new tech giants.

I am not an expert on economics, but even I can see the problem with unsustainable growth. It is pretty irrational, chaotic and should we say irresponsible?

Sure, we can grow a company to billions of dollars in a short amount of time.

So what?

Do we really gain anything by this?

Or is it just a game of hide and seek?

Personally I would not hold my breath towards any of the modern bespoke AI tooling getting cheaper with time. No matter what any CEO of a major lab says.

And not because of the companies are greedy or because they are currently losing money (they most likely don't).

It is because of a simple fact of how venture capital works. You are required to provide "infinite growth", nothing less is not an option.

Maybe I do not understand the economics, but to me it feels strange how there is a system that encourages reckless growth-at-all-costs and it is preferred to a more calm, rational way of living.

Something out of the wild nature, maybe.
