Soldering iron is an interesting tool to use. It is used to melt solder, a fusible metal used to connect electrical components together.
When used correctly, with the right temperature and source materials, it is a joy to use. Solder becomes liquid and wraps itself along metallic parts so easily and effortlessly, it seems like magic.
On the other hand, it is a very dangerous tool: it quickly heats up to 350 degrees Celsius, so you should never touch the hot end. However, there is always a risk lingering behind you, when you use it, even if you have experience. You can accidentally drop it or touch insulation of the wiring and burn through it.
It is the kind of tool, which you threat with respect. And if you are too frivolous with it, then it can become catastrophic.
